How do I port my existing phone number to SalamTalk?
Submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) and your latest phone bill via Settings → Numbers → Port Number. Most numbers port within 5–10 business days. Your service stays active on your old carrier until the port completes.
Can I use SalamTalk on multiple devices simultaneously?
Yes. Each user can be logged in on up to 5 devices at once — desktop app, mobile app, and browser softphone. Inbound calls ring all active devices simultaneously.
How does the AI Receptionist handle calls it can't understand?
If confidence drops below your set threshold (default 70%), the AI Receptionist seamlessly transfers the call to your fallback queue or a specific agent — with a brief summary of what the caller said already in the notes.
Is call recording GDPR and HIPAA compliant?
Yes. SalamTalk encrypts all recordings at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). You can configure automatic consent announcements, set retention policies, and restrict access by role. BAA agreements are available for HIPAA-covered entities on Professional and Enterprise plans.
What happens if my internet goes down — can I still receive calls?
Configure a failover number in Settings → Call Routing → Failover. If our system can't reach your softphone, calls automatically forward to that number (mobile or landline) within seconds.
